The kitchen and dining area are on one side of the room.  The living area is on the other.  These are the only two vantage points in that room.  If you were to watch it &quot;front on&quot;, you would be standing in the front entry hall way.  The design meshes very well with the space. 		<description>So you can basically watch TV in either half of the room only. You can not watch it &quot;front on,&quot; since it&#039;s blocked by a pole. And the TV effectively cuts off one half from another, disrupting the flow of the room, and isolating the two halves from each other. I&#039;m very intrigued with the IDEA of the design, and the need for it is obvious, but the execution seems to raise just as many problems.</description>
